Q: Can we pick our own apples (PYO)?
A: Yes! We encourage you to do so.
Q: What varieties does Green Mountain Orchards have for PYO?

Q: Can we pick any other fruits or vegetables grown at Green Mountain Orchards?
A: Yes! You can pick your own pumpkins, raspberries, sweet corn, peaches, plums, and you can even cut your own christmas tree if you want.
Q: What is currently available for picking in the orchard?
A: You can find out what is currently being picked by visiting our Apple Varieties page, or by calling the Orchard office at 802-387-5851. We always recommend calling before you come for the latest conditions and availabilities.
Q: How do we get to your Orchard?

Q: I have a religious, educational or other group I'd like to make reservations for. How do I do that?

Q: Does Green Mountain Orchards have Pumpkins?
A: Absolutley! Come pick your own or buy already picked pumpkins. We have a variety of different shapes, sizes, and colored pumpkins, squash, and gourds.
Q: Does Green Mountain Orchards have an activities on site?
A: We have hayrides (available by appointment) with fabulous views and horse drawn wagon rides on weekends during the apple season. You may also feed our reindeer a snack or make your own cider, not to mention all the fun you'll have picking your own apples in our beautiful orchard!
Q: Are dogs allowed in the Orchard?
A: Dogs are allowed in the Orchard providing they are well behaved or on a leash. Please be prepared to clean up after your pets.
Q: We've never been apple picking before. What should we wear?
A: You'll be spending time outside in the crisp clean countryside, so be comfortable! Sneakers or otherwise sensible shoes are your best bet because you may be doing a lot of walking. Also, dress in layers as the weather and temperature here in Vermont can change quickly.
Q: Can we bring a picnic lunch?
A: Of course! We love our visitors to make themselves right at home. Blankets and picnic baskets are a wonderful way to complete the day. We also have picnic tables in various places. Please don't leave us with your leftovers though.
Q: How many apples are in a...?
A: We provide you with 1/2 bushel, Peck or Half Peck bags. A half of a bushel holds approximatley 20 lbs. of apples. A peck of apples holds approximatley 10 1/2 lbs. One pound of apples consists of 4 small apples, 3 medium apples or 2 large apples.
